Union minister Anil Madhav Dave praises MP's role in promoting forest produce

BHOPAL: "Proprietors from remote forests in Madhya Pradesh have done a commendable job in promoting the forest produce of the state. We need to take this initiative across the country so the state earns the topmost position," Union minister for environment, forests and climate change Anil Madhav Dave said while addressing the International Herbal Mela-2016.
The fair that opened on Tuesday was chaired by state environment minister Gauri Shankar Shejwar, an allopathic doctor by profession. "Baba Ramdev has appreciated products of minor forest produce processing centre of Bhopal that runs in an area of only five acres but prepares Ayurvedic medicines from over 200 herbs and supplies products to 17 states," said Shejwar.
Dave said, "There is a need to promote a drug so we can reach more countries. One requires scientific standardisation in India so we have more scientists who can research for our nation."
Union and state ministers left no stone unturned to promote the government's initiative to make Narmada River pollution-free. However, they avoided questions of cases filed by National Green Tribunal against illegal mining in both Supreme Court and high court while saying that "we are talking to the chief minister about it".
